Role Summary/Purpose

Provide on site technical direction and leadership during installation, startup, commissioning and maintenance to customer owned power generation and industrial facilities (Power generation includes customer owned utilities, marine drives, industrial power plants and nuclear power plants utilizing gas and steam turbines; Industrial facilities include power generation, marine, petrochemical, paper, steel, automotive and transportation industries)

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science
• Prior field engineering experience is preferredELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
• Willingness and ability to travel significantly with no geographical restrictions
• Must have ability to perform night work as required to meet business needs
• Must have a valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one

Desired Characteristics

• Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision
• Customer service mindset
• Strong organizational and project management skills (prior experience preferred)
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Solid interpersonal and leadership skills
• Two+ years in mechanical or industrial engineering
• Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management and Web-based applications
• Prior field engineering experience with Mark (IV-VI) Controls System is preferred. Business acumen and ability to sell GE products to the customer
