Job at Maersk Nigeria: Assistant Procurement Manager

Maersk is recruiting for an Assistant Procurement Manager.

The candidate must be a graduate with a degree in Logistics/ Finance/ Administration and possess good people skills, Negotiation skills, Superior IT skills (Excel, Word) and 3 years work experience in similar role.

The Assistant Procurement Manager will be responsible for implementing and ensuring compliance with procurement procedures and policies as approved by the Procurement Council. This includes the use of a tender for goods/services of significant value.
Reporting to the Corporate Services Finance Manager, the Assistant Procurement Manager will be overall responsible for:
• Design and implementation of a quoting and ordering system in order to ensure pre-authorization of goods and/or services to be procured
• Design and implementation of a tender process for goods / services above significant value
• Involved in the scoping of goods and services under consideration for procurement
